Tickets

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Like previous years, we have strived to make the forum accessible by keeping registration prices low and by offering a sliding-scale based on an honor system. If you can afford to register at the regular price, please do so. The People’s Harvest Forum is organized by an all-volunteer team but we do need to cover our costs.

Location

The forum will take place at Mission Neighborhood Centers, 362 Capp Street in San Francisco. On Monday we will carpool to East Palo Alto for a field trip to Collective Roots and to a nearby empty greenhouse for a group exercise.

Getting There

Mission Neighborhood Centers is easily accessible by BART and Muni. Nearby stops:

BART: 16th and Mission is 3 blocks away
Muni lines 14, 33, 49: 16th and Mission is 3 blocks away
Muni line 12: 18th and Folsom is 3 blocks away

Biking: The Mission district is relatively safe for people who bike. You can bring your bike into the event space and park it in the patio. The patio is accessible from the street so it is still recommended that you lock your bike. Please read the suggested locking techniques of the San Francisco Bike Coalition.

Driving: Street parking might be difficult to on a weekend but there is a paying parking lot four blocks away at 42 Hoff St.

Food

We will have a vegan bbq on Sunday evening and serve a simple vegan lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Refreshments such as tea, coffee, chocolate, fruit and nuts will be available during the entire event.

There are also a few great vegan restaurants a close walking distance from the event: Indochine (pan-Asian), Cha Ya (healthy, traditional Japanese), and Shizen (creative, upscale Japanese).

Please bring a reusable water bottle to help us limit waste.

Scholarships

We have a small number of available scholarships for low-income folks from Northern California. This covers the entrance fee to the forum, your transportation costs for getting there (only within Northern California), and an arranged homestay if desired.

If you would like to attend the People’s Harvest Forum and the lower end of the sliding scale is too high for you, please send us a short email explaining how the People’s Harvest Forum relates to your work or interests, the reason for your financial need, and an estimation of your transportation costs.
